Only a decade ago, about 30 companies were involved in drone development and production, with the military purchasing products from five to seven firms. Today, that number has grown to 200. Ukrainian drones are now striking critical Russian targets as far as the Kola Peninsula, and marine drones are destroying Russian Black Sea Fleet ships at distances up to 950 km. Next in line is the development of a missile program with a range of approximately 700 km.

But is this enough? And how do budget gaps and chaos hinder development?
