In the first part of their article for LIGA.net, analysts Volodymyr Horbulin and Valentyn Badrak examine Ukraine's successes in implementing modern technologies on the battlefield.

These successes are indeed significant: the mass production of the Bohdana self-propelled artillery unit, the deep modernization of the Neptune anti-ship missile, the creation of equivalents to Russia's Lancet killer drones and the Russian-Iranian Shahed-136, and the emergence of the Nemesis UAV. Finally, Ukraine is now on the verge of developing its missile with a range of up to 700 km.

However, systemic problems hinder Ukraine's ability to accelerate military developments, giving an edge to the Russian army, the authors note. These issues are discussed in the second part of the analysis.
